The Scorpion features an independent suspension very similar to that used on modern ATV's. The basic design has been well tested and proven over trails and cross country usage. The shocks used, have been carefully selected in regards to their spring rate, and "valving" - which determines the dampening of the shocks on both, the compression and rebound strokes. The wheels feature tapered roller bearings, and every pivot point in the suspension uses roller bearings as well. There are adjustments built into the cart for wheel camber, ride height, and suspension firmness. As with all of our carts, the ergonomics of seating position are modelled after sitting in a kitchen chair. This model was built to be used with collar and hame harness, and utilizes our custom designed "draw bar" axle draft system. The Scorpion can be built in a "take down" version so that the shaft system, floor pan and dash and seat with main frame all break down for ease of transport. The shafts on the cart are adjustable for length, width, and height - and the seat slides in order to balance the cart. The Scorpion has been designed with most of the cart weight behind the axle. This makes the cart less sensitive to balance changes brought about due to changes in terrain. The draw bar draft system also contributes to this effect. The cart can be built to include a groom stand, or a "carrier platform" on the rear. Every vehicle we build is custom built for each individual, and the Scorpion - even more-so!!
